Step-By-Step Guidance
The course breaks down the sometimes-daunting process of designing your own certificate program into five easy steps, from conception to completion. Each step offers opportunities for reflection and clarity as you work towards a customized program.
Examples and Templates
Gain access to sample certificate programs as well as templates for creating assessments and certificates to help you stay organized and offer your participants a professional takeaway to certify their work.
Deeper Exploration of the Toolkit
The process of designing a certificate program is also an exercise in exploring toolkit activities and deepening your understanding of available resources and how you might use them, even if you don’t intend to offer a certificate program of your own.
About the Course
This course is an optional add-on for certified CDP coaches who wish to offer certificate programs. The course is designed to walk you through the process of creating a customized certificate program that you can offer as a certified coach, with opportunities to reflect on your own practice and deepen your understanding of CDP Toolkit activities along the way. You will also gain access to templates and resources to help you implement your certificate program, as well as instructions on how to offer badging and certification through IF.

Assistant Director of Campus Engagement, Emory University
I have had the opportunity to work with several groups through the certification program. Not only have I seen participants grasp the concepts, but I have seen growth in how they interact in groups. This program positively impacts our community through the participants and can continue to shape healthy dialogue for a brighter future.
Assistant Director of Campus and Community Engagement, ICAD, James Madison University
The Collaborative Discussion Certificate Program offered my students a process for discussing controversial topics to provide the maximum impact. It helped them organize their thoughts, consider different perspectives, and think outside of the box for solutions to issues that affected many stakeholders. They still tell me how valuable the experience was.
Assistant Director of Student Affairs, School of Data Science, University of Virginia
